| Regional Meetings |
 The 2023 meetings will follow the same format as pre-COVID years with a dinner followed by a program of state pharmacy leaders presenting an overall look at several key issues affecting the profession. Regional Meetings will offer 2.0 hours of LIVE continuing education.
Registration begins at 6:00pm. Dinner is served from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Meeting starts at 7:00pm. APA holds annual meetings in each of its five regions during the fall. This year, we will be holding 10 in-person events. Regional meetings provide an opportunity for APA members to get an update on state and national legislation affecting pharmacy and exchange information about the most current challenges in the profession.

 Joint Accreditation Statement In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Pharmacists Association. University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. ACPE Credit Designation Statement These knowledge-based activities will provide pharmacists up to 4.0 contact hours or 0.4 CEU. CE credit information, based on verification of live attendance and completion of the program evaluation, will be provided to NABP within 60 days after the activity completion. |

Oral Contraceptive Prescribing by Pharmacists - A one-hour, APA protocol training CE program and a four-hour APhA advanced training are now available. The one-hour program is a requirement for any Arkansas pharmacist who plans on prescribing oral contraceptives under the new statewide protocol.
