Academies

Academies

A benefit for APA members is the ability to join one of two Academies that allow pharmacists to meet and discuss their practice settings in greater depth. The Academies include the Compounders Academy and the Consulting Academy.

Compounders
Many Arkansas pharmacists practice compounding and are active members of APA’s Compounding Academy and the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists. APA’s Compounding Academy members meet at least annually to discuss the latest in compounding trends.

Consultants
APA members who practice in nursing homes are welcome members of the APA Consultants Academy.

CE OPPORTUNITIES ----- Available Now
Oral Contraceptive Prescribing by Pharmacists - A one-hour, APA protocol training CE program and a four-hour APhA advanced training are now available. The one-hour program is a requirement for any Arkansas pharmacist who plans on prescribing oral contraceptives under the new statewide protocol.
